Pro-Valeting was established in the early summer of 2004, but before any wash mitt touched a customer’s car Roy Kunz had already taken quite a journey in to the world of high end valeting. The term detailing hadn’t really been used then, but the emphasis right from the start was to use the very finest products and push for the very very best finish achievable to deliver something really quite special.

Way back in 2000 frustrated with most products available on the high street Roy was one of the first in the UK to start using the Meguairs range on his own car, soon he was importing waxes and polishes from America lots of products came and went, most disappointed but the odd little gem didn’t, some he still uses even today!

Towards the end of 2002 Swissol (Swissvax as it is now known) first came to his attention, initially resisting temptation the following year it was time to get serious spending out nearly £300 on his first proper premium kit, this truly amped his enthusiasm, the results were stunning as people were noticing.

With an increasing amount of enquiries for his services, and a range of products that delivered Roy made the jump and joined forces with Swissol as one of their prestigious authorised detailers ready for the 2004 season. A decision that was soon rewarded, as the first event he attended saw him come away with two trophies.

Over the years Roy has looked after some of the world finest cars, including some of the world rarest Ferraris and Porsches, he looks after various collections valued in to the millions and racked up many a Concours D’ Elegance win.

Although no longer with Swissvax, Roy makes sure he’s using the very best products if something doesn’t perform it will be replaced, jobs are still finished with the highest quality Carnauba wax or Sealant, along with his collection of Swissvax waxes you’ll find some the worlds finest and highly regarded Carnauba blends along with professional sealants from Zaino and DuraGloss. After an initial consultation with the customer the best product will be chosen to suit the client’s needs best.

Although Roy has some of the world most exclusive waxes in his arsenal, the main area that impresses his customers are in his paint correction. This singularly can make the biggest difference, most cars these days have a clear coat of paint over the colour. To get the very best finish you need the clear coat perfect so it can reflect light correctly. Roy caries many brands of polishes for all eventualities, but mostly uses the superb range from Scholl Concepts that continue to impress the most. This allows him to level the paint to a near flawless finish ready for the finishing protection, after all why apply an £8000 Carnauba Wax over imperfections.
